| I'm attempting to play this game using a gtx1060, i7 and 16GB of RAM, normally runs at around 80 fps. But occasionally restarting the game will cause the next session to run at around 9, being completely unplayable. The only way to fix this is by restarting the entire PC, have not noticed this in any other game and no settings have been changed and no intensive programs are open. Tried emptying ram to no avail either.

| try to reinstall GPU driver (clean install with http://www.guru3d.com/files-d....ad.html ) install only nVidia video, audio and PhysX drivers (start nVidia driver installer with admin rights)
you can also try: - set paging file size (virtual memory) to fixed value instead of the option: "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" - turn off "show me tips about Windows" - disable Windows Defender and use free Avira Antivirus and free Malwarebytes Antimalware - look on internet what Win10 services should be disabled to get some boost in performance (services like "Superfetch", "Windows Search", "HomeGroup Listener", "HomeGroup Provider"
